These last few weeks I've been pretty busy here in HQ getting some new pieces together and I'm pretty pleased with some of the new techniques and effects I've been achieving with the work... 

This piece is called 'The Cormorant' 

It has been produced in layers and then montaged together, the cormorant itself is an drawn in Indian ink the background is painted in acrylic, creating a texture on which to montage, each small silver fish has been individually cut from tin foil...

In this next unfinished piece and as yet un-named piece, the background is again acrylic, with paper cut figures and lampshade, then I've used a screen print shadow design to create snowflakes, which I've changed the opacity of to create depth...

I've been doing some really interesting work here in HQ recently

...that's been great fun! 

I've been working with some new layering techniques for spread backgrounds and I've been loving some of the effects that have been created. 

Also love the fact I get to be really mucky with acrylics!

So here's the first one, the sharks are cut from paper and placed on a background painted in acrylics.

finishing of for the show tomorrow...

It's a busy day here for me at HQ as I'm finalising, mounting and framing pieces 

ready for the Cruel and curious art event in Stowe Barton, Cornwall.

Here's a few photo's of how it's all coming together.

Not long now...

So....with only two weeks to go, I'm in full swing to get everything ready in time for the 'Cruel and Curious sea, Art event' in North Cornwall, hosted and put together by Cai at Hickory nines

My work for the show was featured on Barefoot Cornwall and in issue 43 of Surfgirl magazine, in which I was interviewed.

This week at HQ we finished our Amazing Animal Alphabet! 

See here's 'Z' just to prove it...

It's been an awesome journey for me to complete a whole Alphabet with Henry and Bear and boy, have we had some fun! 

The work is now in the hands of our lovely agent Madeleine. 

Hopefully I will be able to leak you some more on the project soon. 

Also this week, I've been working on the next image in the 'sea shanty' work, Check out these Giant Leviathans fighting on my desk...

It's all about Lemur's in HQ today...

The Amazing Animal Alphabet is growing! Only 6 images left to finalise and then I move onto the typography which will be completed like the images in ink and water colour.
